IML/IVV Event

 

Brasov, Romania, 1-3 September, 2017

On 2 and 3 September 2017, EuroTrainer Association, in partnership with Brasov City Hall, Poiana Brasov Tourism Board and Transilvania University of Brasov, are organizing the IML & IVV Cooperation Cup in Poiana Brașov and Brașov.

Two walking trails of 20 km will be available, along with a cycling trail and swimming activities. In addition, 3 guided/permanent walking trails of 5 and 10 km in Brașov and Poiana Brașov are available as well.

1. IML & IVV Cooperation Cup Subscribe

Two 20 km trails

Green trail:

• Poiana Ursului Street –  Drumul Vechi – Podul Crețului Street – După Grădini – Turnul Funarilor – Aleea Tiberiu Brediceanu – Piața Teatrului – După Ziduri Street – Pietrele lui Solomon – Drumul Forestier – Casa Viorel, Poiana lui Stechil Street – Poiana Ursului Street
  • Distance: 20 km
  • Altitude difference: about 500m
  • Difficulty: medium (gradual downhill and uphill)

Red Trail:

• Poiana Ursului Street – Valea Cheii Street – Drumul Roșu – Telegondola Postăvaru Expres – Top Mountain, Poiana Cristian – Căprioara – Pietrele lui Solomon – Drumul Forestier – Casa Viorel,Poiana lui Stechil Street – Poiana Ursului Street
  • Distance: 20 km
  • Altitude difference: about 450m
  • Difficulty: medium (gradual downhill and uphill)
  • Hiking boots for the mountain are recommended

Welcome dinner – 1 September

A welcome dinner will be organized on 1st September starting at 20:00 at Complex Hotelier Poiana Ursului, 1 Poiana Ursului Street, Poiana Brașov

Romanian traditional dinner – 2 September

A Romanian traditional dinner with a folk music ensemble will be organized at 20:00 at Complex Hotelier Poiana Ursului, 1 Poiana Ursului Street, Poiana Brașov If interested please ask for details.

Medieval dinner with Castelanii in House of Dracula – 3 September

A dinner will be organized in House of Dracula with the participation of Castelanii (Brașov Philharmonic Orchestra) at 20:00. If interested please ask for details.

Recommended visits

By request we can help organize visits around Poiana Brașov:

• Visiting the Râșnov Citadel

  Rosenauer Burg (Cetatea Râșnov) is a historic monument and landmark in Romania.

• Visiting Bran Castle

  Castelul Bran is an impressive medieval fortress, a former royal residence. It is famous for the Count Dracula legend.

• Visiting the Citadel Valley Cave

  The cave (Peștera Valea Cetății) is located on the road from Poiana Brașov to Râșnov. It is a natural attraction which has been restored for visitors in recent years. On Saturdays groups of visitors can enjoy concerts inside the cave, played by the Academic Clarinet Quartet.

AIRPORT TO HOTEL TRANSFERS

As would be the case, shuttle buses will be provided for transfers from Henri Coanda Airport (Otopeni/Bucharest) to Poiana Brașov and way back.
